Set in a fine black walnut stand is a vintage working model T hand valve grinder with its original wood knobs.
This vintage early 1900’s Hand Valve Grinder is for a Model T Ford engine. It is signed as being made by Albertsons Co. of Sioux City Iowa and patented April 19, 1909 to May 21, 1912. The valve grinder and its wood knobs are in good working condition. The grinder is removable from a block of salvaged black walnut which has been hand sanded, stained a dark mahogany and hand brushed with four coats of satin spar varnish. It would make a great addition to a old tool collection or conversation piece for a desk. The valve grinder measures about 11″ long, about 3 inches wide and 3 inches thick. The walnut stand is 6 inches deep x 4 3/4 inches wide x 2 1/2 inches thick.
