A Good Day to Ride

“Everyday is a Good Day to Ride”, is made of reclaimed wood with a green wash and lettered with white acrylic paint. A Good Day when you ride has a cast iron horse head above a horse shoe hook below the lettering.  The board measures approximately 10 3/8 inches x 6 ½ inches and the horse head hook measures approximately 5 1/8 inches 3 ¼ inches.

Unless otherwise noted, our reclaimed wood comes from the small barn and outbuildings that we have replaced boards on. Most of the pieces will have nail holes, chips and occasionally a slight warp.  All show the signs of years of weathering and are therefore very “rustic or primitive”.

We chose to keep the weathered surfaces of our wood products as we loved the “character” the wood has and often use it in our designs.  With all its “character” it means that there are groves, cracks and unevenness.  And this means that all of the painted lettering is hand drawn and hand painted and as the lettering follows those “characteristics” we find so endearing, it makes the wording have a rustic or primitive look.  All of our painted signs and pictures have been sealed for UV and moisture resistance.

Each of our rustic picture or sign has hanging mounts on the back.  All of our mounted, cast iron wall décor have been bolted to the wood.
