Big Moe

From our “Big Stick” trail stick section here is a natural Ash branch walking stick that is truly substantial. 59 inches in length, Big Moe measures almost a full 2 inches in diameter and tapers to the bottom end to 1 inch in diameter with a replaceable rubber tip.
Big Moe is not a light walking stick! It is a serious wilderness device, stout and strong, with a natural curve leading to the top. Moe has been debarked and sanded almost smooth and has four coats of semi-gloss marine varnish for protection and a sharp look. Moe is wrapped with 50 feet of parachute cord just in case a need arises while hiking, camping, or wilderness living.

All of our Big Stick products are  from responsible wood harvesting. No product from our stock of trail sticks or walking sticks resulted in the damaging or cutting down of a tree. Instead our stock is taken from work involving the careful shaping and care taking of trees. Once we have selected a piece it is then allowed to finish drying before it is debarked and carefully hand sanded to bring out its unique  characteristics. Then it is shaped at the end for a rubber tip and then given four hand brushed coats of semi-gloss marine spar varnish. They are then allowed to dry until the varnish has completely set before the tips are put on, or they are wrapped.
