From our Gunfighter series is this key holder, a revolver style pistol replica in cast iron with a rust finish. There are three hooks along the barrel for hanging keys or other small items. Mounted to red washed reclaimed wood and framed. Framed wood measures approximately 133/4 inches x 7 5/8 inches and the key holder measures approximately 9 ¾ inches x 3 ¾ inches.
Unless otherwise noted, our reclaimed wood comes from the small barn and outbuildings that we have replaced boards on. Most of the pieces will have nail holes, chips and occasionally a slight warp. All show the signs of years of weathering and are therefore very “rustic or primitive”.
We chose to keep the weathered surfaces of our wood products as we loved the “character” the wood has and often use it in our designs. With all its “character” it means that there are groves, cracks and unevenness. And this means that all of the painted lettering is hand drawn and hand painted and as the lettering follows those “characteristics” we find so endearing, it makes the wording have a rustic or primitive look. All of our painted signs and pictures have been sealed for UV and moisture resistance.
Each of our rustic picture or sign has hanging mounts on the back. All of our mounted, cast iron wall décor have been bolted to the wood. These are half casts of western style pistols.
