These elegant table decor items were created in 1966 after Ng and his artist partner Spaulding Taylor founded in 1965, San Francisco’s Environmental Ceramics, the precursor to the Taylor and Ng department store. Their very successful business featured the artful designs of Winfred Ng, A highly talented artist known for his various forms of functional ceramic works. Ng was the creative genius behind the companies Asian inspired decorative kitchen items and table settings. An artist whose medium and style varied from ceramics to paintings to metal works he became world famous. His art work in its many forms graces the halls of the Smithsonian, the National Museum of Modern Art in Tokyo, the Victoria & Albert Museum, the DeYoung Museum, the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art and more.
Sold only as a set, this pair of shakers in a bright and deep cobalt blue features the whimsical designs Ng is famous for. Flowers, dragon flies, butterflies, birds, rabbits, suns and moons, grace this stunning pair of shakers. They are in excellent vintage “like new” condition and our recommendation is that they be used only as a feature display as they are of such pristine quality. They measure approximately 3 1/2 inches by 4 1/2 inches, are cobalt blue in color with raised designs.
