He is a creature so immense that he encircles the entire of Midgard as he holds the end of his tail in his mouth! He lies in wait in the depth of the great ocean where every slight move that he makes creates great and devastating earthquakes! It is believed in Norse mythology that one day he will release his tail, rise above the surface of the ocean and that when this occurs, so will begin Ragnarok! Chaos will ensue and he will be locked in a pitched and deadly battle to the end with Thor the God of Thunder!
Our necklace of polished rounds and nuggets of green agate, adventurine, green dyed carnelian and green serpentine, depicts Jormangandr as he has released his tail and the chaos of Ragnarok is about to begin. Jormangandr is a pewter pendant that measures     1 3/4 inches long by 1 3/8 inches across and is finished in silver. This 22 inch necklace is finished with a silver plate lobster claw clasp.
