It features a pewter pendant of a Viking warship sailing on the ocean surrounded by stones representing the elements of the seas, in graduating blues of sodalite, lace agate, lapis lazuli, agate and man made opalite . Opalite is a beautiful man made crystal. It is sometimes called opal or moonstone opalite due to its luster and similarity in look to actual moonstone.The iridescent moonstone opalite represent the brilliance of the full moon, a welcome event for our ancient Norsemen as their ships could then easily navigate the seas at night.
This necklace measures a full 20 1/2 inches in total length and is finished with silver findings and lobster claw clasp. All silver is plate.
