This beautiful, sweet, white batiste baby dress from the 1950’s was hand embroidered in the Philippines
This beautiful, sweet, white batiste baby dress from the 1950’s was hand embroidered in the Philippines. It has a cute little satin stitched scallop trimmed collar with three little pink French knots on each side. There is dainty embroidery on the front of the dress with one pale pink Brazilian embroidered rose, tiny pink French knots and blue stitches for accents and four petite satin stitched accent lines. The back-placket buttons with two buttons to a pleat at the waist. It has a nice wide hem and puffed sleeves finished with a cuff. The dress has a label that reads “Hand EMB in the Philippines, Infant”. This piece has been hand washed in non-toxic natural soap and lightly touched up with a warm iron. It is probably a size 24 month.
Condition: It is in excellent vintage condition.
Measurements: Shoulders – 9 1/2″ (seam to seam); Chest – 12″ (flat underarm to underarm); Length – 14 1/2″ (top of shoulders to bottom)
