Whether to be displayed or worn by a precious child for a special occasion, this little boy’s romper from the 1960’s is super cute! It’s a white cotton bubble romper with a small white Peter Pan satin stitched scalloped collar and adjustable button waist. It has a trio of hand appliquéd white ducks on the chest. There are two tiny white buttons just below where the collar meets in the center below the chin. The sleeves turn back to form satin stitched scallop trim cuffs that matches the collar. The adjustable waist has elastic on the sides and a faux belt with one button across the front. The leg openings are also feature satin stitched scallop edges and it has two large snaps in the crotch. It opens in the back from neck to waist and closes with two small buttons. There is a pleat at the bottom of the opening in the back to give it fullness through the behind…the bubble romper. There is a label that reads “Made in the Philippines, 100% combed cotton”. This piece has been hand washed in non-toxic natural soap and lightly touched up with a warm iron. It is probably a 9 month.
Condition: It is in very good condition. It looks like the covering over the elastic has been repaired on one side of the belt, (see pictures #4 and #5)
Measurements: Shoulders – (seam to seam) 8″; Chest – (flat underarm to underarm) 10″; Waist 10″ unstretched – Hips 12″ – Length 14 1/2″– (top of shoulders to crotch)
Please remember this is a piece of vintage or retro clothing. Most of it is used and will show some signs of “normal wear” that comes with age. As we describe each piece if we find any flaws or marks we will point them out in the description. If we have made repairs, we will also note these in the description.
