Our version is set upon reclaimed wood, with painted wood letters and a whimsical cast iron red winged pig with double hooks. The board measures approximately 15 ½ inches x 11 3/8 inches and the pig hook measures approximately 4 inches x 3 inches.
Unless otherwise noted, our reclaimed wood comes from the small barn and outbuildings that we have replaced boards on. Most of the pieces will have nail holes, chips and occasionally a slight warp. All show the signs of years of weathering and are therefore very “rustic or primitive”.
We chose to keep the weathered surfaces of our wood products as we love the “character” the wood has and often use it in our designs. Such is the case with When Pigs Fly which has interesting knots and weathered grooves across the bottom giving it, its endearing rustic or primitive look. All of our rustic signs have been sealed for UV and moisture resistance.
Each of our rustic pictures or signs has hanging mounts on the back. All of our mounted, cast iron wall décor have been bolted to the wood.
